内容説明
The subject algebraic quantum field theory was introduced in the late 50s, early 60s. The aim was to establish a convincing common framework for the essential concepts of quantum theory and theory of relativity. The basic concepts for this ansatz is that of a causal net of operator algebras. This work deals with this topic. A systematic presentation of essential parts of this theory is given. For selected directions the treatment leads the reader to the frontiers of actual research; examples are superselection theory and the theory of types of net algebras. So far as it is necessary for these purposes the book presents synoptically the theory of C*-algebras, v. Neumann algebras and C*-systems. Some special topics are developed in more detail.
