Description and Table of Contents
Description
All laboratories involved with geochemical analysis utilize a variety of reference samples for purposes of calibration and accuracy. Following the release of the original rock reference samples in the early 1950s, the number available has increased resulting in more analyses and statistical compilations of major and trace element compositions. This volume presents analyses of reference samples, but with a number of innovations and additions over previous compilations. The tabular data are ordered according to sample type rather than issuing body. Different typefaces identify the precision of analyses and values from individual schemes of analysis where "official" data are not available. The scope is broadened by the inclusion of sulphide and ore sample analysis.
