内容説明
The adverse consequences of cultural change upon traditional caregiving of the elderly in 16 countries - including Britain, Israel, Hong Kong, Austria and Sweden - are explored in this volume.
Following provision of a theoretical framework for understanding differences between countries and an examination of consistent trends across countries, each chapter discusses a country in terms of traditional characteristics, societal changes and the consequences of and responses to these changes. The countries have been designated `young, youthful, adult, mature and aged' to further aid comparison of their problems, programmes and policies.
