Description
Most any profession and associated practice is marked by certain controversies or vexing issues. This is true not only of well-established professions such as medicine but also of developing professions such as adult and continuing education. Today, as never before, adult and continuing educators are dealing with a panoply of issues that have an impact on both the knowledge base and professional practice of the discipline. This volume of New Directions for Adult and Continuing Education presents a variety of perspectives on some of the more Anduring controversies of our times so as to encourage improved practice in adult and continuing education. This is the 54th issue of New Directions for Adult and Continuing Education. For more information on this series, please see the Journals and Periodicals page.
