Description
The British Geotechnical Society annually commemorates the great engineer and physicist, William John Macquorn Rankine - 1820 - 1872), by holding a lecture in London presented by a distinguished soil specialist. This volume constitutes the third set of ten Rankine lectures and feature some of the most widely acknowledged experts in soil mechanics and foundation engineering from around the world.
