Description
This textbook provides a concise and comprehensive overview on nonlinear problems addressing all natural scientists. It also contains a beautifully illustrated colour insert easily accessible to interested laypersons. It is therefore suitable for leisure reading and also for an introductory (under-)graduate course in nonlinear physics. Both already well-known and some more recent new results are discussed, outlining the relating between classical problems of nonlinear physics and important current problems like the birth of chaos in simple deterministic systems and the birth of order out of disorder and turbulence.
