Description and Table of Contents

Description

This book, expressly written for psychiatrists and other mental health practitioners, is an overview of important neurological disorders that occur in children and adolescents. Some of these disorders have tradtionally been considered psychiatric problems but new research has revealed their neurologic aspects. Other disorders, primarily neurologically based, have consequences for psychological adjustment. This book describes these paediatric disorders and provides information not only about their clinical presentations, course and treatment, but also about how to recognize them and when to refer patients for a neurologic evaluation.
