This volume contains 14 papers presented by researchers from Europe and the USA at the Workshop on Performance Measurement and Visualization of Parallel Systems, which was jointly organized by the Austrian Center for Parallel Computation (ACPC) and the Slovac Academy of Sciences. The papers focus on approaches for monitoring parallel processing systems and new performance visualization techniques. Topics such as scalability for massively parallel systems, integration in parallel program development environments, recent developments of existing tools, concepts of new tools and practical applications are covered in this text.
