Description and Table of Contents
Description
Emphasis in this volume is placed on principles of teaching and learning, descriptions of print and nonprint instructional programs and materials, administrative issues, evaluation processes and procedures, and trends affecting educational services. Numerous examples are provided throughout, particularly of computer-based instructional systems. In addition, the volume assembles together topics scattered elsewhere: the context and ethics of teaching in libraries; authorship, production, and distribution of print and nonprint materials; quality control and reward systems; and applications and impact of new technologies. This volume is relevant to any information professional interested in teaching users on-site or remote from their parent institution.
