Description
Any change in the world's climate is a potential threat to global food security. Climate change such as increase in CO2, temperature and untraviolet-B radiation will influence the production of rice, the world's most important food crop. As a source of atmospheric methane and nitrous oxide, rice cultivation may contribute to climate change and its effect on agriculture. Research on specific impacts of climate change on rice ecosystems is summarized in this text.
