内容説明

This review aims to bring scientists up to date with the recent developments in modern electric field applications and highlights their benefits compared with other methods. The book opens with an account of electrochromatography - a state-of-the-art technique that combines chromatography and electrophoresis - and explains how first-class separations can be achieved in numerous analytical and biochemical applications. Part Two of the text focuses on the characteristics of electro processes in industry and provides several examples, such as electro-osomotic dewatering, new electro-rheological fluid technologies and demulsification processes in the car and oil industries. The role of the electric field in chemical processes is discussed in Part Three. The book explores its use in concentration processes, immunoassay and molecular orientation methods. Examples are presented in each case. This work should be of interest to analytical chemists, applied chemists and chemical engineers working in research and development.
