Description
Apoptosis plays a central role in the regulation of cell proliferation. Disruption of this control mechanism may cause diseases such as encephalomyelitis and cancer. Thus, understanding of the molecular mechanisms of apoptotic cell death should lead to advances in therapy.
Table of Contents
- Myc-mediated apoptosis
- HIV-1 gp120 and neurotoxicity - pharmacological intervention
- clusterin - a role in cell survival in the face of apoptosis
- apoptosis mediated by the fas system
- apoptosis of mature T-lymphocytes
- an endonuclease responsible for apoptosis
- bcl-2 - antidote for cell death
- cytopathic feline leukemia viruses.
