Description and Table of Contents

Description

This text aims to provide radiologic diagnosis of the acute abdomen in a short and systematic manner that can be appreciated at a glance. Since the target group should not consist entirely of radiologists, but emergency physicians as well, the imaging methods are integrated into the overall clinicoradiologic concept. Each chapter begins with a table listing those diseases, according to incidence, in which the symptom can occur. Emphasis is on the most important diseases, which are then discussed further, with details on clinical patterns, aetiology, classification and radiologic findings, conventional plain images, sonography, CT and special examinations (angiography, ERCP and fistulography). The book should be of use to radiologists; residents in radiology and emergency physicians.
