Description
This text on the clinical applications of bone scanning reviews its history, provides background on radiopharmaceuticals for bone scanning, and reviews normal examination and normal variants. It covers SPECT and PET techniques, with an emphasis on the relevance of conventional modalities to bone scanning. Clinical topics in skeletal nuclear medicine examined include common diseases, radionuclide imaging of bone marrow, correlative imaging as related orthopaedics and sports medicine, soft tissue uptake of bone agents, and paediatric bone scanning. Over 600 optimal quality nuclear images and other modality images are integrated throughout the text.
