Description
This work illustrates the role of large-scale experiments in groundwater and subsurface remediation research. The optimization of existing techniques and the development of new approaches for in-situ remediation of contaminated aquifers and soils resulting from accidental spills, old waste deposits or abandoned industrial sites is a multidisciplinary task.
