This monograph is exclusively concerned with gas-liquid two-phase flows. The first part deals with [ ]batic flows; that is flows without the addition or removal of heat. The second section covers heat-transfer in two-phase flows: boiling and condensation. The various types of heat transfer are identified and methods to calculate them given. Two-phase flow and heat transfer processes are commonly encountered in heat exchanges (distillation and condensation) and in pipelines. These are subjects important to chemical engineers, and to mechanical engineers in the power industry.
