内容説明
The Matthew J. and Arlyn Bruccoli Collection at the Thomas Cooper Library, University of South Carolina, is an extensive collection of F. Scott Fitzgerald materials. This research archive includes volumes inscribed by or to Fitzgerald, unrevised galley proofs of "The Great Gatsby", Fitzgerald letters and manuscript drafts, and memorabilia. The catalogue has been compiled from the Bruccoli Collection to document certain aspects of Fitzgerald's working career as a writer. The catalogue accompanies the USC Fitzgerald Centenary Exhibition, which opened on September 24, 1996. Illustrated with 200 photographs, the volume shows the utility of a private collection built by a scholar-collector and demonstrates the research uses of rare books and manuscripts.
