Description and Table of Contents
Description
This volume presents the proceedings of the 9th Workshop on Computer Simulation in Condensed-Matter Physics. It is composed of three parts. The first part contains invited papers that deal with simulational studies of classical systems. The second section is devoted to invited papers on quantum systems, including new results for strongly correlated electron and quantum spin models. The final section comprises of contributed presentations.
Table of Contents
- Part 1 Clasical systems phase diagrams of alloys and adsorbed monolayers: some recent results
- plasticity and chaos in models of randomly-pinned, driven lattices
- large-scale simulations of melting in two-dimensional Lennard-Jones systems - evidence for a metastable hexatic phase. Part 2 Quantum systems: cluster Monte Carlo method for quantum systems
- coupled quantum chains - a bumpy path from 1 to 2 dimensions
- divide-and-conquer treatments of electron correlations
- optimized trial functions applied to static and dynamic equilibrium critical phenomena, and quantum mechanical van der Waals clusters.
