Description
This text presents a comprehensive evaluation of the recent and emerging imaging technologies for the clinical assessment of glaucoma. It should provide an understanding of the technology that is available and the results to expect from each method. The text discusses conventional imaging methods such as stereoscopic fundus photography and nerve fibre layer photography, as well as more advanced technologies. Also addressed are technologies for imaging both the anterior and posterior segment. Various optic nerve head analyzers are covered, along with options for nerve fibre layer analysis. "Color Doppler" imaging is explained with regard to blood flow in glaucoma, especially in low tension glaucoma. This text has been developed and expanded from the material presented at the "Imaging in Glaucoma" course.
