Description

Investigations for child sexual abuse may have a major impact on the lives of children and their families. It is important to ensure that professional interventions are beneficial and effective, and that their potential for damage is minimized. This report presents the findings from a study using qualitative and quantitive approaches to explore child sexual abuse interventions in one local authority. The research identifies both good and bad practice, and areas for improvement. The case is argued for an integrated system of child care services, promoting children's welfare and protecting them from harm.
