Description and Table of Contents
Description
This work collects together information on cancer staging developed by the American Joint Committee on Cancer in co-operation with the TNM Committee of the International Union Against Cancer. The manual aims to provide consistent guidelines that clinicians can use to determine the extent of neoplastic diseases at all anatomical sites. This fifth edition contains new sections on the staging of fallopian tube cancer and gestational trophoblastic disease, revised staging recommendations for cancers of the prostrate, testis, other urologic sites, and head and neck, and new information on prognostic factors, including serologic and pathologic findings. The manual includes abbreviations and symbols of patient data so that they can be transferred to the patient's chart and recognized.
