内容説明

This work summarizes and reviews mid-to-late-1990s techniques and advances in brain protection during aortic surgery which were presented at the symposium. Clinical application and basic mechanism of the methods of hypothermic circulatory arrest, antegrade cerebral perfusion and retrograde cerebral perfusion are discussed. This book should provide the basis for a better and further understanding of brain protection in aortic surgery. It is directed not only at physicians, but all medical and allied personnel who deal with patients before, during and after aortic surgery.
