内容説明
The third edition of this work features 13 new chapters and has been revised to reflect developments in the area of radiation oncology. It covers aspects of the subject from basic cancer biology, radiation biology, and radiation therapy physics to treatment regimens for all cancer sites and tumour types and discussion of results. New chapters in the third edition cover three-dimensional physics and treatment planning; clinical aspects of three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy; stereotactic irradiation; physics and dosimetry of high dose rate brachytherapy; clinical applications of low dose rate and high dose rate brachytherapy; nonsealed radiation sources and radiouclides; physics of high LET particles and protons; and boron neutron capture. Another new area addressed is palliation of brain, spinal cord, bone, and visceral metastases. A chapter on pain management has also been added.
