Description

This supplement, designed to accompany the sixth edition of Boyce and DiPrima's "Elementary Differential Equations", introduces Maple - a mathematical software system - as a tool for analyzing differential equations. It refocuses the traditional ODE course by emphasizing an integrated approach using symbolic, numerical, graphical, and qualitative techniques. It aims to explain all the features of Maple that are useful for analyzing differential equations, and to enhance students' understanding and mastery of differential equations, and give students a tool that they can also use in other maths, engineering and science courses. This edition has been updated for Maple Version V.4.
