This guide contains profiles of British universities or institutions of higher education offering research programmes. It also has sections on how and when to apply, costs and funding, questions to ask yourself and of the institutions, and studying in Britain for international students. Information is included for 208 institutions. The first section of the book provides straightforward information on each higher education establishment, including contact addresses, telephone, fax and E mail numbers; general information on the university or college; student numbers for the 1995/96 academic session; libraries and academic facilities; and accommodation, welfare and recreational facilities. The second section contains information on course/research listings, including course title, validating institution, qualifications, named pathway courses, and general course details and course notes. A detailed map of the UK is included to pinpoint the location of each higher education institution.
