Description and Table of Contents
Description
Building from a sound theoretical belief in the importance of play in the cognitive development of children and the principles of teaching for thinking, this book provides teachers with clear and specific suggestions for utilizing the integrated classroom model of play-debrief-replay in early childhood education. Twenty-five activities in the four curriculum areas of science, social studies mathematics and laguage arts form the core of the book. Teachers will find that these activities may be translated directly to their special needs. Practical aids guide teachers to develop their own activities within the play-debrief-replay framework.
