内容説明

Surgery of the Skull Base presents step-by-step descriptions of today's advanced surgical procedures for skull base tumors, written by internationally renowned surgeons who pioneered these approaches. The detailed narratives are integrated with over 1,000 illustrations--425 in full color--including intraoperative photographs, MR images, CT scans, radiographs, and line drawings. The contributors' expert guidance will help neurosurgeons and head and neck surgeons design and implement well-coordinated surgical attacks on skull base lesions. A major portion of the book details specific approaches via the anterior fossa, posterior fossa, and midline. Central to the methodical reviews of each procedure are informed analyses of expected results and potential complications, in addition to complete case results, when available. Additional chapters provide background information on surgical anatomy, radiology, and pathology and pathophysiology of skull base tumors. Rounding out the coverage are expert contributions on postoperative management and reconstruction of the skull base with surgical flaps and grafts
