内容説明
Physical and mental abuse, gang-related violence, homelessness and neglect are just a few of the dangers that a child must face. Child welfare officers, school social workers, and family service providers have been the primary line of defense against these hazards, but in order to provide a more effective form of social care, these fields must be seen as an integrated whole. They must also have the skill to act as multidisciplinary teams.
Taken from an issue of the journal Early Child Development and Care, Reassessing Social Work Practice with Children provides professionals with a dynamic orientation that offers a holistic approach to social work practice with children. This view encompasses any and all measures of practice designed to protect and promote the bio-psycho-social development of children, including education, protective services, and substitutive services.
