This publication provides the latest advances in the fast-moving field of surface modification to improve corrosion, wear and heat resistance of engineering components. Containing more than 80 reviewed and edited articles by authors from around the world, this book offers broad coverage of the latest advances in the various techniques used to deposit coatings on various materials to improve their corrosion, wear or heat resistance. Also covered is the characterization of these coatings in the as-deposited, during service and post-service conditions.
