Description and Table of Contents
Description
Combining the traditional morphological approaches to endocrine pathology with new molecular and cellular information, this book integrates the two standards to present a means of diagnosis using a combination of classic and modern techniques. Each endocrine gland is discussed in a separate chapter and the embryology, anatomy, histology and physiology are described from a molecular standpoint. Emphasis is on immunocytochemical and molecular markers, and how they are used for differential diagnosis. The pathology of each lesion is followed by an explanation of clinical correlations, and what is known regarding the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the disease.
