Description and Table of Contents
Description
This textbook of intensive care has been designed specifically to provide clinicians and nurses with concise treatment protocols. The focus throughout is on management of the critically ill patient using guidelines, notes and up-to-date references. Altogether, over 30 common problems are dealt with including acute respiratory failure, shock, haemodiafiltration and myocardial infarction. The algorithms provide a source of reference in the ICU as well as elsewhere in the hospital and can be used as teaching aids for junior hospital doctors, nurses and undergraduates.
