Description and Table of Contents

Description

This comprehensive manual provides a clinical, yet practical, approach to treating tracheostomized and ventilator-dependent patients, and is considered the reference among those who administer this care. It provides the learner with clinical and case research information and encourages him/her to apply that information to their patient's needs on an individualized basis, rather than employing a "cook book" approach to treatment. Emphasis is also placed on individualizing treatment and assessment protocols. The organizational structure is conducive to learning, as information builds on itself progressively from chapter to chapter.
