内容説明
A combined text and workbook which offers students a comprehensive approach to evaluating and applying nursing research. It also provides all the information they will need to understand inductive and deductive reasoning, along with the formation of research questions and hypotheses from a conceptual model or theoretical framework. There are two chapters new to this edition: "Applying Appropriate Theories and Conceptual Models" and "Understanding Evidence-Based Practice". There is also expanded discussion on principles of epidemiology, more information on why reliability and validity and other psychometric properties are important, and a new section titled, "Questions to Consider When Critiquing". The book covers the 11 steps of the research process to show what is being done and why it is important in the process. It contains more than 100 examples of published research and includes a discussion on reviewing the literature and writing a literature review. A perforated workbook section tests a range of knowledge, beginning with knowledge recall questions and ending with analytical questions.
Chapters include learning objectives, a glossary of key terms, summary of key ideas, student learning activities and references.
