内容説明

01/07 This title is now available from Walter de Gruyter. Please see www.degruyter.com for more information. Queueing theory is an applied mathematical discipline dealing with the performance of technical systems (referred to as queueing systems) for processing flows of customers. Random fluctuation in customer arrival and service processes play a pivotal role here. Recently, the interest in queueing theory has been revived, not only as a result of new, related applied problems, such as the development and application of computers, but also due to the advent of new mathematical approaches to their solution. The aim of this monograph is to familiarise readers with certain tools of the queueing theory (including its latest techniques) and the results of their application. An introduction to queueing networks is also given.
