実験時間内に終了するよう試料も身近なものを選び、実施しやすい内容方法を記載。単に実験においての現象のみを観察するだけでなく、目的、原理、手順などを十分把握し、実験のプロセスを理解するようにフローシートを付けた。化学式や化学反応式などを記載し、実験結果の報告書の作成のため、計算例、測定例などを掲げ、かつ実験結果の考察に必要な参考事項（基準値）なども付した。
