While graduate nursing informatics courses have rapidly proliferated to meet new accreditation standards, they often focus only on the technical aspects of informatics and lose sight of the most important goal-improving care and safety of the patient. This is the first text designed specifically for graduate-level nursing informatics courses that focuses on using technology with an interprofessional team to foster quality patient care.
