Description
「鏡の国」は「不思議の国」の７年後に書かれた物語である。「不思議の国」にくらべ、透明感は増し、言葉遊びの意味は深まり、物語全体が「チェス盤」の上で進行するという特異な構成となっている。より論理性が強調された「鏡の国」は、キャロルの数学者としての面目を示し、物語の完成度も高いといえる。言葉遊びと論理の展開に充分の配慮をした、新たな日本語訳の誕生である。
