Description
This study investigates the impact of the 1980s on the geography of Britain and takes account of the main ecnomic and social processes of restructuring. Providing a new framework for interpreting processes of change in population, employment and planning, the book looks at various types of location, such as large cities, sub-regions, industrial districts, outer rural areas, counties and local labour market areas. The authors show a pattern of economic change since the recession over an extended part of the 1980s.
