Each volume is extensively referenced, illustrated and indexed. The articles relate the current state of our knowledge and areas of continuing advancement and will be updated in additional volumes every 5 years. It is aimed at libraries in all universities, relevant departments and other institutions conducting research into vision, medical schools and relevant major industrial concerns such as pharmaceutical, optics and robotics companies.
