内容説明

This comprehensive work includes 43 donor sites with detailed anatomy, 98 basic and varied techniques of flap design, harvesting or fabrication, 39 procedures for exposure of the recipient vessels. Almost all of the necessary anatomic information and surgical techniques for reconstructive microsurgery are described and illustrated. The book is concise and precise. The essentials of an enormous amount of literature have been selected and combined with the authors' anatomic investigations and clinical experiences. The results have been condensed into short, clear, and succinct descriptions. The Atlas is relatively easy to peruse and to understand. 570 illustrations present clear anatomy and variations thereof, for step-by-step operative procedures. Each flap is preceded by a description of the relevant anatomy. The first of each set of drawings for every flap described lists all of the anatomic structures that will be discussed or indicated for that particular flap. All following figures list only the structures specific for that drawing. In addition to describing the anatomy and detailed harvesting of all the flaps, it has also been attempted to describe the anatomic approaches to the major vascular recipient sites. These sections are found at the end of each anatomic area. In addition to general anatomy and operative techniques, variations in arterial anatomy are emphasized, and clinical comments are added for each donor site. Even for the experienced surgeon, briefly reviewing related chapters before attempting a specific microvascular transfer should prove very helpful: details of the related anatomy and specific procedure will thereby be recalled, and reminders of clinical advantages and disadvantages should allow a review of the clinical applications. This work is an international colllaboration and extension of knowledge between the United States and China, as well as a collaborative effort between plastic and orthopaedic surgeons, in whose specialties a great deal of microvascular surgery is performed.
