Description and Table of Contents

Description

The growth of molecular biology and the spread of its influence in other disciplines has led to a proliferation of terminology which has, as yet, to be effectively defined and housed in one single, accessible reference source. This reference work contains nearly 6000 headwords covering all areas of molecular life science including cell biology, immunology, microbiology, neurobiology, structural biology, developmental biology and molecular medicine. The encyclopedia houses two types of article entry. Short articles of up to 100 words offer a short definition which is fully cross-referenced to article length entries of between 1000 to 3000 words. This cross-reference system allows the reader to approach their subject at the required level of detail and sophistication.
