内容説明
Temporomandibular joints are vulnerable to extrinsic and intrinsic influences, which may be expressed as pain in parts of the head and neck and may be accompanied by alterations in mandibular movement. The first edition of this text articulated a case for scientific discretion in dealing with pain and dysfunction of the joint. Recent advances in understanding different pain responses and neurophysiologic processes, mean that new diagnostic approaches and patient management strategies can be proposed. The second edition reconciles the latest scientific evidence with clinical prudence.
