内容説明
This book is an introduction to all aspects of language work in the National Curriculum. It explores the roles in school of English and foreign language teaching, and of associated activities like drama and media education. Specific attention is paid to the acquisition of literacy and to knowledge about language. The book should provide an introduction for teachers in training, a source of update for those already serving, and a guide to good language practice for teachers of other subjects. Based on the research and development work of Southampton University's Centre for Language in Education, it combines a strong emphasis on good practice with a recognition of a firm base in research and principle. Christopher Brumfit is the author of 'Communicative Methodology in Language Teaching" and "English as a Second Language in the United Kingdom".
