内容説明

This text is an up to date, comprehensive review of the practical day to day management of heart and lung transplant patients, from the time of their initial referral through to their post-transplant rehabilitation. The surgical and management strategies are presented in a clear, precise manner for an easily retrievable format. Several talented and dedicated medical professionals combined their efforts to solve the difficult clinical problems of cardiopulmonary transplantation. Many of the methods described in this book were pioneered at Stanford University School of Medicine and have since achieved universal acceptance. This manual is based on more than 25 years of clinical experience and is deliberately didactic in places to give the reader a very clear picture of what is involved with a given topic. The outstanding illustrations created by the Visual Arts Service at Stanford University greatly enhance the text. This book has very wide appeal. It is directed not only at physicians, but to all medical and allied personnel who deal with patients before, during or after their transplant. They include transplant surgeons, transplant physicians, cardiothoracic surgeons, internists, cardiologists, pulmonologists and intensivists. Other potential readers are medical students, interns, residents, nursing staff and paramedical personnel.
