Description and Table of Contents
Description
This edition incorporates recent advances in gynaecologic oncology and covers topics of importance to oncologists, obstetricians, gynaecologists, general surgeons and internists. The volume provides coverage of the biology of gynaecologic cancers, the therapeutic modalities currently available, and the diagnosis and treatment of specific gynaecologic malignancies. Topics discussed include cancer prevention, cancer in the pregnant patient and gynaecologic oncology for the general obstetrician-gynaecologist. Greater emphasis is placed on early diagnosis of cancer by techniques such as colposcopy and biopsy. Stromal tumours of the ovary are also documented.
