Description and Table of Contents

Description

The Congress covered a wide range of topics in medicine and biology, such as progress in ultrasonic diagnosis and treatment; ultrasonics and education in Asia; and the physical and engineering aspects of ultrasound. The fruits of this congress will no doubt serve to advance medical research in Asia, while promoting applications in the field of veterinary and livestock diagnosis and treatment. The meetings covered many topics of ultrasonics in medicine: the history of real time ultrasound, echographic examination in microgravity, ultrasound safety; an update, clinical usefulness of fetal echocardiography, quantitative diagnosis using ultrasound, challenging technology, basics and clinics of the contrast imaging, elasticity imaging, analysis of the ultrasound images, animal ultrasonography, bioeffect and safety of ultrasound and advances in sonodynamic therapy.
