アジア開発銀行（ＡＤＢ）は１９６６年にアジアの人々の熱意から地域の「ファミリー・ドクター」を掲げて生まれた。そのときアジアは世界で最も貧しい地域だった。以来、「開発のパートナー」となったＡＤＢの「開発途上加盟国への資金・ナレッジ支援」、「優れた政策の促進」、「友好関係の触媒としての役割」の全貌を説き明かす。
