Description
イェイツ（１８６５‐１９３９）は、アングロ・アイリッシュのプロテスタントとしてアイルランド文芸復興に携わった特異な詩人であり劇作家であった。変貌し続けたその詩は、芸術至上主義、象徴主義、神秘主義、オカルティズム、アイルランドの民族意識と神話伝説等々の複合体とでも言うほかはない。その全体像を伝えるべく５４篇を収録。
